Another Charles T. Higgins' photograph, reveals the conditions in which these games were played. In Philadelphia, the lighting reveals the gym in which this game takes place. The central figure, Bob Pettit, Hall of Famer, MVP, and champion, dribbles the ball on the parquet flooring. While the main figures are illuminated in the black and white image, the background is still visible if looked thoroughly over. Directly above the head of Pettit, on the back wall, are rings for gymnastics, and the main hoop on the other side of the floor is attached to the wall in a traditional gymnasium way. These two details reveal how this gym was most likely a multi-use facility, demonstrating how the previous era’s environment is similar to the beginning of the second era.
